How we choose materials
We choose materials for what they do, not for how they read on a page.
Each is tested against one question: does it help, and does it stay out of the way. Silk because it does not press on closed eyes. Silicone because it seals and washes clean. Glass beads because they spread weight without hot spots. Wool because it regulates without instructions.
The range is small because the standard is fixed. A material that does not meet it is not in the range.
Light
The blackout lining is tight-woven polyester with a foam backing that blocks light across the full spectrum. The Dusk Mask uses grade 6A mulberry silk at 22 momme — weight enough to hold its shape over the eyes, fine enough to rest against skin for hours without heat or drag.
Sound
The Felt Panel is 100% wool pressed to 12 mm. At that density it absorbs mid and high frequencies without over-treating a room. Soft Plugs are medical-grade silicone shaped to sit flush rather than protrude. The Hush Machine uses recorded audio — not generated tones — because a real recording has natural variation that a loop does not.
Touch
The Weight Blanket fills glass microbeads into individual 10 cm cotton pockets so the weight does not pool. The outer cover is 100% cotton percale: smooth enough to feel good, open enough to breathe. The Cool Pad uses a phase-change gel that absorbs heat and releases it away from the body. Wool Socks are 80% merino at 17.5 micron — below the threshold most people register as itch.
